New medium risk security flaws found in Intel chips

Luckily Intel is working hard to launch a patch ASAP

Apparently hackers have found new types of Spectre and Meltdown security flaws in Intel chips. They are able to steal large amounts of sensitive data from computers and mobile devices.

Intel has nick-named the new vulnerability “Speculative Store Bypass (Variant 4)” and explains that it looks a lot like an existing flaw that manages to enter the same security vulnerabilities that were exposed earlier this year.

The vulnerability is coded to provide firmware updates for CPU’s, which Intel has already started to patch using microcode updates for the Speculative Store Bypass to the original equipment manufacturers.
