Your phone’s remaining battery charge can tell more about you than you might think. When trying to get someone’s location and their phone is dead you can’t but help wonder what is going on, on the other side… ”Was the signal lost? Or worse,… stolen?”
By knowing whether the battery is about to die, you can make an educated guess and stop worrying about worst case scenarios. Google has added this new feature to their Google Maps location sharing function, yet this isn’t a new concept. A social media app by the name of Zenly, acquired by Snapchat in 2017, came with that feature when the app was launched as early as 2016.
